Ans. A set of instructions given to the computer to perform a specific task is known as computer program/ software.
Q3. Why we prefer compiler over interpreter?
Ans. We prefer compiler over interpreter because the interpreter takes one statement then translates it and executes it and then takes another statement. While the compiler translates the entire program in one go and then executes it. Compiler generates the error report after the translation of the entire page while an interpreter will stop the translation after it gets the first error.

Ans. EDP Stands for electronic data processing.
Q5. Explain the usefulness of port in computer system?
Ans. A computer port is a connection point or interface between a computer and an external or internal device. Internal ports may connect such devices as hard drives and CD ROM or DVD drives; external ports may connect modems, printers, mice and other devices.
